About The Artist

Bernd Röttgers (born 1965), grew up on the edge of the Ruhr area in Hagen. Throughout his career as an engineer at a utility company in the Ruhr area, he learned to appreciate and love Ruhrpott and has now lived for more than 25 years ‘Deep in the West,’in Bochum. The photography and illustrations, which are dedicated to his homeland, became his hobby during his professional life.
