Bernd Röttgers
(born 1965), grew up on the edge of the Ruhr area in Hagen. Throughout his career as an engineer at a utility company in the Ruhr area, he learned to appreciate and love Ruhrpott and has now lived for more than 25 years ‘Deep in the West,’ in Bochum. The photography and illustrations, which are dedicated to his homeland, became his hobby during his professional life.
Over 5 years ago, he started his own business centred on his very typical art style which appears in his individual and colourful illustrations and shows this exciting metropolitan area in a colourful light. Furthermore, he has successfully extended the library of his illustrations to include other cities in Germany. Many companies and individuals use his creativity in order to obtain individual and unique art images for their homes and business premises.
